Holy cow I've missed out on a lot and still have a lot of things that I want to do. To sort of help me catch up on things I went and visited the Mindcrack subreddit... only to find my work being used without permission and belated credit given, which wouldn't be seen unless you read through the comments.
Don't get me wrong. It's nice to know that you guys like my stuff, but please do NOT go around using my work without any permission from me. It has happened a few times already and it's pretty aggravating. And the same goes to anyone else's work that you enjoy and would like to use for your own projects. It only takes a moment of your time to ask the artists if it's okay to incorperate their work into your project. Most times we're more than happy to let you so long as you give credit to us for our work. Sometimes we're saving our work so that we can do something with it as well so there is a chance you may not get to use it. Sometimes the pictures we've created doesn't solely belong to the artist. It can be a commission so you'll need to ask permission from more than one party member. So please, just ask because it can get complicated if you don't.
Edit: To clarify... if I drew something for fun and as a gift for you then I don't mind if you use it as long as you're not using it for monetary gain, unless agreed upon otherwise, and you credit back to me. So basically if it wasn't for you, don't use it without permission.
Edit 2: Woooooow... really? Even after making this journal someone decides to go ahead and steal not only my art work, but two other people's art work as well... they even went so far as to claim them as their own original art work AND tried to sell them as t-shirt designs in their spread shirt shop. Not cool :/ Seriously guys. Don't do it.
